New Robotic Equipment Improves Lead Times and Efficiency of Wireform Manufacturing

The acquisition and installation of robotic welding equipment is welcome news for our wireform customers — and our own company. The new Panasonic machines lower the cost of creating difficult assemblies and increase the efficiency of our wireform manufacturing process. “The equipment is great for high-production runs and families of parts with similar set-ups,” says Mary Fitzgerald, president of Acme Wire Products Co. Inc. “We were always able to perform this type of welding,” she adds. “But, now, the process will go more quickly. “Thanks to the relatively small footprint of the new machines, we’ve integrated the robotic welders with the existing robotic work cells on our production floor,” Fitzgerald says.
