Easter Seals – Connecticut
The Easter Seals provides children and adults with disabilities and their families with medical rehabilitation, job training and employment, child care, adult day services and camping and recreation.
Acme Wire Products’ provides sponsorship for the Easter Seals Walk with Me Walkathon and volunteers at the walkathon rest & refreshment areas.

Salvation Army – Southern New England Division
The Salvation Army exists to serve the people of Connecticut and Rhode Island in their time of need - great or small. The Salvation Army assists individuals become more independent through a variety of services and programs. Service Centers provide food pantries, afterschool services and other programs.

Dorothy Planeta Scholarship at St Bernard School – Uncasville, CT
The Dorothy Planeta Scholarship was founded to provide students from single parent families with financial assistance to attend Saint Bernard School. Saint Bernard School is a Roman Catholic co-educational school for grades 6-12, open to students of all faiths. Saint Bernard provides a college-preparatory education enriched by the values and teachings of Jesus Christ.

Ocean Community YMCA – Mystic, CT
The YMCA puts Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.
Acme Wire Products’ donations to the Mystic, CT branch of the Ocean Community YMCA enables children to participate in safe, healthy activities and camps in the local community. Acme Wire Products’ equipment donations of an AED defibrillator, pool equipment, basketball equipment and boating equipment further promote healthy lifestyles. Michael Planeta serves as an officer and board member of the Mystic YMCA.

Literacy Volunteers of Eastern CT
As a sponsor of the Scrabble Tournament Fundraiser, Acme Wire Products assists the Literacy Volunteers to provide reading and writing skills to both basic literacy learners and assisting immigrants to our community aquire the language skills they need to live and thrive in the United States, thus becoming productive members of society.

The Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center serves the communities of Stonington, North Stonington, Mystic, Old Mystic, Pawcatuck & Westerly. They improve and enhance the quality of life of residents of all ages by providing basic human needs, social interaction and free transportation to obtain medical care.

Habitat of Humanity of SE CT
Habitat for Humanity of SECT builds decent and affordable homes in partnership with families in need. Their goal is to make a difference in the lives of others, fulfill the dream of home ownership and help eliminate sub-standard housing in SECT.
Acme Wire Products has contributed materials for the construction of new Habitat homes.

Haitian Health Foundation
Founded in 1982 by Norwich orthodontist, Dr.Jeremiah J. Lowney, the Haitian Health Foundation strives to improve the health & well being of the poor, sick and infirm in Jeremie, Haiti. An outpatient clinic, the Center of Hope Residential Care Facility & Public Health Outreach provide care to the mountain people of Haiti.
